As a young girl growing up in Ghana Africa, in a traditional family setting, Chef Simone’s love affair with food began. Simone fondly remember her early childhood memories of helping her mother cooking meals from scratch in the family kitchen.
“My mother insisted I learned how to cook as a child. I was always with her in the kitchen, grinding, preparing, chopping and watching, it really influnced my cooking today and gave me a good grounding” says Chef Simone.
Growing up surrounded by a mix of exotic herbs and spices has influence her current masterful blend of African, Caribbean and Mediterranean flavours.
